Karen Downing Little did I realize when I started this project (originally on an interim basis) that it would rekindle my love for doing research! I am committed for the whole project now, and it has been my intention to share my experience along with my love and excitement for doing research. I have learned at least as much as I have shared, including learning about collaborative research processes from our students and from my library and UMSI colleagues. We are at the half-way point in the project, and when I reflect on all we have accomplished in just over a year, it is quite amazing: literature reviews conducted, research design planned and implemented, data and communication plans drawn up, instrument design completed, participant outreach, IRB and PEERRS certifications completed, two papers written and accepted for conferences and proceedings, a codebook developed, etc. This collaborative project has enabled us to accomplish a lot, and has produced lasting collegial bonds.
